Viagra is a Phosphodiesterase Type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. PDE5 is an enzyme in the body that reduces blood flow, especially to the penis.
How Viagra then works is by blocking this PDE5 enzyme, allowing more blood to flow to your penis to give you an erection.
So the one and only function of Viagra is to block this PDE5, thereby allowing more blood to flow to your penis.
As long as this PDE5 enzyme is being blocked, there will be increased blood flow and circulation which will lead to erections
Why Viagra cannot keep you hard after coming
Lack of blood flow to the penis is not the only factor that causes Erectile Dysfunction. There are other factors like:
