When I was much younger I always lasted longer in bed and above all:
I could have sex after ejaculation multiple times in one session and would still have an erection after.
Along the line growing up things changed and it got me thinking to myself
“Why can’t I last longer in bed anymore?”
This article will show you what I discovered and effective solutions that can help you last longer.
You can’t last longer in bed anymore because as you grow older;
Your body produces less testosterone which is the main male hormone for sexual activities and:
Eating the wrong foods and bad lifestyle habits like smoking and poor sleep causes hormonal imbalance which reduces your testosterone levels
All my discovery led to reduced testosterone levels, for men, testosterone is more like our superpower, while for women, it is estrogens
What is it about Testosterone?
Testosterone gives you the ability to grow muscles, have strength, appetite for sex, and is available in abundance in your youthful years
You can’t do what you used to do when you were much younger;
But does this mean you can’t perform like your youthful self again?

How do you know you have low testosterone levels?
According to the Food and Drug Administration, normal testosterone level ranges between 300 to 1000ng/dL (ng /dL stands for nanograms per deciliter)
If your testosterone level is below 300ng/dL:
You have low testosterone and that’s one of the reasons why you can’t last longer in bed anymore
Now, let’s dive into some reasons why you can’t last longer in bed anymore
The first 3 reasons cause lower testosterone levels:
It’s quite common knowledge that, as we age our bodies lose the ability to do somethings effectively like they once did. One of such for men is the reduction of testosterone production.
In younger men, testosterone production peaks at around age 17 and remains high till the next decade
Surprisingly! I discovered that, in some men, testosterone levels stay high throughout their life;
But in most men, their testosterone levels begin to drop at around age 40
Initially, the drop in testosterone is not that much until a man gets to the age of 70 where production levels tank by 30%. But still, this level remains at normal range, that’s why grandpas can still get a woman pregnant.
At such testosterone levels as 10-30% lower, it would not be enough if you want to enjoy unlimited sexual performance and pleasure
You need your testosterone levels up to 90.9% and that’s very possible at any age for men really!
You can do intermittent fasting to help boost your human growth hormone levels which in turn will positively affect your testosterone levels

Sending minerals and vitamins to the appropriate organs that need them to function
What you need to know here is that wrong foods and your liver not functioning properly will lead to hormonal imbalance
Do men experience Hormonal Imbalance?
Yes! Men also experience hormonal imbalance, the only difference is this:
Women experience a hormonal imbalance in estrogens, while for men it is in testosterone
Some foods that can cause issues for you may include
- Dairy & Meat
- Processed Foods
- Trans fat
Cut out sugar, substitute with honey or date syrup, surprisingly both substitutes help with sexual performance, dates most especially
Cut out processed foods, they contain chemicals in the form of preservatives that;
Eat up your body cells which can lead to different types of cancer
Eat cooked meals always, veggies and fruits
You can take supplements or foods that detox and repair your body daily or weekly like Asparagus, Wheatgrass, Spirulina, etc
Of the above supplements, I have personally used Wheatgrass and Spirulina, of the two;
Wheatgrass worked better for me, it gave me lots of energy, focus, and less irritable
And in bed, I could go for literally an hour (of course with breaks in between) and still have an erection after climax.
My partner calls it the green shit, she hated the taste but always admitted its effectiveness on me in bed.
Bad Lifestyle Habits
How are you living your life? Do you sleep well, exercise, and spend time with your loved ones?

Porn Addiction: Overstimulation and Dopamine
Watching too much porn can ultimately mess up your sexual health;
Although, there are mixed studies about how pornography affects sexual disorders like Erectile Dysfunction
Some studies suggest that porn may actually help men overcome erectile dysfunction and I think this is so because:
It can help induce dopamine levels in the brain
According to WebMD, dopamine is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in pleasure, motivation, and learning. It is linked to the brain and the brain controls every part of the body.
How does Porn affect the Brain?
So watching porn triggers pleasure to the brain which in turn motivates the penis to respond and give more pleasurable feedback
Well! All this is related to Erectile Dysfunction, but how does this affect your performance in bed?
Porn addiction can lead to overstimulation and too much dopamine that moves at the speed of light
When you are overstimulated by the images, sound, and plots of these movies;
It becomes very difficult for you to experience the same in real life

Get this about Dopamine
Too much dopamine that moves faster than light also screws up your performance;
The faster your pleasure senses kick in, the faster you will have orgasm and ejaculate
Porn addiction causes you to get too much dopamine to the point that:
Your brain can’t handle the pleasure and it explodes down there between your legs
Ideally, dopamine is meant to be built up gradually to climax, porn addiction rewires your brain for overstimulation of dopamine

Look for other activities you can substitute porn with when you have the urge. Watching porn is a habit that needs to be replaced with another habit.
Habits don’t die, they can only change
A good substitute could be watching comedy movies when you feel the urge, taking a walk, hanging out with friends, etc
Stress and Anxiety
Stress and anxiety go hand in hand and are often associated with Erectile Dysfunction. But strangely when my stress and anxiety levels were really high, I never really experienced not being able to get an erection.
I only always experienced Premature Ejaculation and most times I couldn’t always go for another round of sex. Disappointing times for me because my partner always wanted more, I could always see the frustration on her face.
Thank goodness am better now, stress levels down to a minimum and I last long enough to make her call it quits. Yes, seriously most times;
